Great Alpine-Caravans
Warranty periods
- 1-year structural warranty that covers drawbar and chassis.
- 1-year caravan structural warranty (Includes framework only – Does not include internal ply or external cladding)
- Great Alpine-Caravans is not responsible for appliance. All appliances carry their own warranty.
Terms and Conditions
- The warranty period begins on the day your van is first registered.
- The warranty is not transferrable in any way.
- Warranties do not apply to the product purchased for rental or other commercial purposes.
- Warranty does not cover the damage attributed to misuse, abuse, accident, or modification.
- Any transport, accommodation, towing, or recovery costs arising from a warranty claim are the responsibility of the purchaser. It is the responsibility of the owner of the towing vehicle to ensure that they have appropriate motor vehicle roadside assists is included in their motor vehicle policy.
- It is the responsibility of the owner of the caravan to ensure that no further damage arises to cause additional damage. The owner must prevent and protect the caravan from suffering additional damage that is not subjected to the original claim. Failure to prevent further residual damage will cause the warranty claim to be void.
- All warranty work must be carried out by Great Alpine-Caravans or authorised dealer with written permission by the Great Alpine-Caravans.
- Great Alpine-Caravans or authorised dealer will review any claims made outside of the applicable Great Alpine-Caravans Warranty period. A determination will be made based on whether the component has failed because of a manufacturing defect and a response in writing will be supplied with the outcome.
- Our product comes with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
Your responsibilities
You must operate, maintain, and care for your Great Alpine-Caravan, in accordance with the instructions in your user’s manual. (Includes manuals associated with appliances)
This includes maintaining regular maintenance checks when the caravan is not in use or being stored for periods beyond 3 months.
This includes roof maintenance – all seals inspection (Windows – Door- Hatches – Joints). Tyres-rims and axle assembly.
We offer one way back-to-base warranty that the owner is responsible for returning their caravans to manufacturer’s location. Renumeration will be offered to cover the fuel cost of returning the caravan to the place of manufacture. This does not include accommodation cost during the repair process or any additional costs after the caravan is returned to the owner.

What the Warranty doesn’t cover
- Damage caused by modifications carried out at an unauthorised repairer.
- Damage caused by improper adjustment, repair
- Accident damage
- Normal wear and tear, including but not limited to stone or other chips in paints.
- Neglect by the owner to attend to regular maintenance requirements when the caravan is not in use.
- Failure to maintain a service record confirming that regular service checks have been conducted by a recognised caravan service or repair centre. (This includes all aspects of the caravan)
- Rust
- Wheels and Tyres
- Paint
- General consumables (eg bearings, light bulbs etc)
